I love the clarity of thinking of each of the members

  • Contra Costa Atheists and Freethinkers (CCAF)

I don't really belong to groups, but since I retired, I have limited venues for hanging out with interesting people, especially with whom I share important values. I felt that I had found my group and some people with whom I could really develop friendships. Very interesting conversations, not superficial.

  • Contra Costa Atheists and Freethinkers (CCAF)

I recently joined this group. I've been to three meetings so far. I find the members and organizers welcoming and easy to start up conversations with! Meetings are informative and shed light on steps individuals can take to protect the public realm from religious influence.

Excellent group. Needs more young blood but 40, 50, and 60 are when religiosity reaches it's highest levels statistically so it's good to see so many of the baby boomer generations that have avoided or freed themselves from the shackles of a faith based world view.

  • Contra Costa Atheists and Freethinkers (CCAF)

The group is varied and diverse. It was great to be around people with similar points of view. Though, true to a free-thinking group of folks, not everyone shared exact opinions...SO wonderful to meet people who live outside of group-think.

I'm was so glad I attended this event. I've seen many videos of Dawkins, listened to his audio books and debates. I can now say I saw him in person. I even got him to sign my copy of his book and I also took pictures. It was good to see Jon and Jane there too. Thank you CCAF for the information of this event.
