This is a group for folks who love the feel of easy going, laid back motorcycle rides. I started this group as a way to get together with others of all skill levels who love to ride. All skills levels and all motorcycles that are at least 250cc are welcome.
Members must be at least 21 years of age, have a M1 license, own and ride a registered motorcycle with current insurance, and have sufficient experience to operate it safely. When considering joining a group ride, please read fully the ride description and details.
I'll jump start the group but will look to have others who will get involved in suggesting and planning routes, leading rides, doing sweeps, etc.
Some will be easy rides, back roads, preferably with nice scenic routes. Others will be more technical and at a quicker pace. We will have good, clean, safe rides cruising at or a bit above speed limit. No drama, no pressure, no hassles - just rides with a little socializing thrown in for good measure. Most rides will be Fri, Sat, Sun.As we are a "laid back" group there are not too many rules. However, one important rule is that riders are expected to take personal responsibility while out on rides. That means ride your own ride. We strive to always have a Lead and a Sweep, but we are all adults, over 21 and so are responsible for keeping ourselves safe out on the road. If you are uncertain about some aspect of a posted ride or route, we encourage you to ask questions. They are always welcome. The other rule is to Have Fun! Group members are free to post rides on the site, including more technical and challenging rides. Where 2,3 or more are gathered together we will ride!
Personally, I'm as happy to ride with 1 or 2 others as I am with 10 or 12. My preference it to keep the size of rides manageable and not larger than around 13 or 14 bikes. As things get going here in the group I would hope to have rides at least 2 times per month, but there is a lot of room for suggestions, ideas and input.
If you plan to participate in a ride, please RSVP on the site so we will know to expect you and in order to have accurate attendance on the site, make lunch reservations, etc.
There are areas under the discussions tabs where members can post general information, general questions, post moto items for sale, etc. In order to keep us all safe and protected, the liability release for all rides is posted under the discussions tab. Coming out for a ride constitutes yours, and should you bring one, your guests and or passengers' understanding and agreement.
OK, enough yakety yak - Come on. Lets ride!
