This program facilitates spontaneous conversations for people to learn, support, heal, exchange ideas, share insights, lessons learned, new opportunities and identify ways to transcend divisions to build One City of allies and friends. Join the volunteer training program to begin the process of training to co-facilitate topic forums and discussions online and on land. Please invite your friends to stay in touch with friends, old and new, at the event!
This program provides a friendly context to share contacts and whatever is useful, practical or humorous. Discover differences in assumptions and beliefs. This is also a way to help newcomers learn about a neighborhood and what matters to others in the group and in different groups. This volunteer local community initiative provides oportunities to develop new community allies to co-develop new approaches or develop better solutions to build a better future for all.
We invite you to join the volunteer allies team to develop materials and shape a better quality of life together. Begin by attending the 3rd Sundays networking sessions, introduce yourself to the co-organizers and others at the event, show up for volunteer orientations and followups meetings at LiteStarts, 2101 L St. NW, DC 20037 (restaurant phone 202 293-0281) and express your interest in serving as a volunteer on the Allies Team to help out or lead a group. Please join the discussion message board here and share your thoughts on topics which would be beneficial for building greater understanding and unity of purpose of the District as One City!
AGENDA for the 3rd Sunday events: (1) Networking conversations over lunch or drink (free admission, networking; self-pay for your own drink/food) (2) A round of self-introductions to the group, network with others at the event.
