Fullersburg Woods

PLEASE CHECK IN WITH ORGANIZER, WHEN YOU ARRIVE.

We'll be hiking along a crushed gravel trail which includes crossing over the river onto an island within the preserve, as well as taking the trail to Graue Mill.

We will be hiking two trails: the interpretive trail and the multi-pupose trail.
You can bring your dog on a leash on this hike. Children are welcome to join if they can hike the distance of 3.25 miles.

Length: 3.25 miles

Hiking Time: 2 hours

Difficulty: Easy

You may be surprised to find this much natural beauty just 20 miles from the Loop. Nearly this entire hike accompanies Salt Creek as it meanders next to a bluff and winds around a couple of islands on its way to the historic watermill at the south tip of the park.

Looking forward to meeting you-on or off the trails-soon....can I ask what pace you walk at? Can do the distance but have brace on let for a bit so somewhat slower than I should be?

Eilene, the group usually ends up spread out into 2 or 3 groups. the group who want to go at a fast pace for exercise and the rest of us go at a pace they are comfortable. I usually begin in the front but usually arrive at the parking lot toward the back of the group. So you can go at a pace that you are comfortable walking. See you on the trail on Saturday.
