Hello CookingNYC,
Sorry I've been missing in action lately. :-(  There's a few projects that I'm working on in NYC including two food conferences that I would like to share w/ the group in further detail @ a later date.
In the meantime, Columbia University and JustFood is hosting a conference today on community supported agriculture in urban cities.  I'm speaking on the panel discussion listed below.  If you're in the neighborhood -  come inside and grab a chair!  I would love to see you!  :)
Note:  The conference is free admission but you must register via the the JustFood website @
From City Soil to Fork: The Urban Grower's CSA
Join BK Farmyards, Eagle Street Rooftop Farm, Added Value, and La Finca Del Sur as they illustrate the possibilities of using the CSA model with urban farms and other city-spaces where you can grow your own produce. With the growing CSA movement from local farms to urban settings, we wonder: "Can New York City feed itself?"
