Jersey Joe’s Philly Cheesesteaks may be the best way to have the full "Phillly" experience on the peninsula. If you've already experienced "cheese wit'" somewhere and know the right way to eat 'em, you get extra credit. If not, we'll teach ya how to hold the sammy and revel in the meaty / cheezey goodness. FYI, you can have chicken in your cheesesteak if you don’t want killer beef ribeye, but “cheesechickens” just doesn’t sound right.

See Joe's cheesesteaks (or chicken), hoagies, salads, chile, etc. menu here. After we create a solid base for the liquid second half, we'll migrate only 2,000 feet up the street to an entirely different dive for fun and games.

Cheesesteaks + $3 Drinks & $3 Beers + Pool!!

Getting straight to the good part: I know of no other bar on the peninsula that has $3 well drinks and/or decent $3 beers! On tap are Fat Tire, Sierra Nevada, Bud (again, sorry) and something I can't remember, plus various beer in bottles and a full bar.

Even with the awesomely cheap pricing, The Lariat is merely unsophisticated and not a pit. It’s stunningly clean and free of sawdust, antlered animal heads and spittoons, but just judging by the look of the ginormous neon sign outside you might think otherwise.

For the fun sporting crowd, they have four pool tables, shuffleboard and lots of room to hang out so new and old friends can get acquainted and maybe even have a rematch of Pass the Pigs. love struck

Parking is EASY here. Joe's has a mall lot and Lariat has their own lot that can be entered from either side of the building.
