Every moment history is being created and this Meetup has been organised for those that don't want to miss it! There is virtually nothing untouched by history and so much of history is related. Maybe like me you're a World War history enthusiast or does the history of the Royals our own and others hold fascination for you? The Grimaldis or Romanovs perhaps? Have you ever been to the Tower of London? Have you been inside Buckingham Palace or Tower Bridge for that matter? Did you know Churchill had a secret bunker in North West London? Have you ever been to the Florence Nightingale museum or do you know who Mary Seacole is? Heard of Joseph Merrick? Of course! You might say. You'd be surprised! Ever heard of The Ragged School museum? Did you know we have a London Film museum and I'm not talking about MOMI!

We are also now the previous World War History Enthusiasts @ IWM Meetup! I use to work at the Imperial War museum in Lambeth Road so a Meetup with history as it's main subject is definately my forte! I'm now an Interaction Team Volunteer at the Churchill War Rooms.

The aim of this new history Meetup is:

• To bring together history buffs and those for whom the past is always present
• To visit museums and galleries and places of historical interest in and outside of London
• To attend history events, talks, shows and exhibitions
• To watch biopics and films based on real life events at the cinema
• To take part in themed walks such as the Jack The Ripper Walk, Great Fire of London Walk and other history themed walks including Black History Walks http://www.blackhistorywalks.co.uk/
• To visit historal attractions such as the London Bridge Experience, London Dungeon, The Clink Prison, Cutty Sark and The Golden Hinde
• To visit photo and film archives in museums
• To come together over tea or coffee to discuss famous conspiracy theories from history or books we've read are reading and to recommend books for reading

History isn't just a subject you studied at school but it's happening here now on Meetup! Oh...and it's Cool!
