Hey there and welcome,
London is a hard place to keep friends and even harder to make them. Either they are too busy, they are about to go back to their country or some reason or another. And the idea of going to an event where you don't know anyone can be daunting for even the most socialist of people.
Well if you live, work or even just love to play in the Islington area then this is the group for you. This group is very welcoming and if you are on the shy side I will try and make sure you feel at ease. I joined and eventually took over this group to meet some cool ladies, wing-women if you like. So far the group of ladies that I've met so far are a nice bunch and I'm sure you'll agree.
Islington is a great place. Upper St. has so much to offer from varied restaurants, theater, cinema, bars to relaxing parks. And that's all just on one street not to mention how centrally located it is. Shorditch, Stoke Newington and Crazy Camden are just few next door to us. The group's events will be anything from bike rides (when it's nice out) to nights out on the town to cups of coffee and everything in-between. Also if others are interested, going further afoot, out of London or even the UK. The door is wide open and all suggestions are welcome. This is your group too.
I only have 1 rule: If you RSVP "yes" to an event and for whatever reason are then unable to come change your RSVP to "NO". PLUS if it's last minute also add it in the comments, that you can't make it. No one likes to be stood up and believe it or not I'll actually worry if you're lost or something if you don't show up. Ok that's 2 but easy enough right?
All events will be (mostly) free unless there is an upfront fee for tickets or stuff like that. The only thing I do ask is for a "DONATION" when you come to an event and that can be as big or little as you like even 50p is fine, no pressure. All the money will go towards my fee to meetup for having the group.
So if this group sounds like something you want to be apart of please join up and Welcome. I'm excited to meet you at one of the many events.
Nicole
