CoolWalks - Architecture and Industry in Docklands

Are you interested in finding out more about Southwark’s hidden history, making new friends, uncovering fascinating local facts and having fun? Then CoolWalks are for you!

On this 'Architecture and Industry' walk you will get the chance to discover Southwark’s libraries and explore the Docklands area around Canada Water. This walk will focus on the history of industry in the Docklands, which was at one time the world’s largest port, as well as the area’s architecture, including an unusual vent and escape shaft built for the Jubilee Line.

CoolWalks is a unique guided walking project for wellbeing and all the walks are researched, planned and led by volunteers.
