Dealing With Professionals-making the system work for me! With Tara Logan-Shand

Ever felt overwhelmed during a care plan meeting? Stumped by ATOS forms? CoolTan Arts Self Advocacy Trainer Tara Logan-Shand has 8+ years of experience of working with the social care and benefits system and believes in making it work for YOU!

Tara uses her lived experience of managing on a care plan and dealing with the welfare benefits system to share knowledge with others. She has also worked with people who are experiencing problems getting their voices heard in their own care, and has battled with ATOS on a regular basis.

About Tara Logan-Shand;

Tara is CoolTan Arts new Self Advocacy Trainer. She works with compassion and dedication in order to support people who need to have their voices heard.

Tara has experience of dealing with benefits and hospital tribunals, getting people a fair hearing when needed, and is keen to share ideas and knowledge with others.

As an illustrator, Tara's training takes on a visual element, and is easy to follow, allowing plenty of room for participants to speak up and share their stories.

If you have ever felt the frustration of a bad CPA, an ATOS appeal that goes wrong or a GP appointment where you left feeling less well than when you went in, come and join the session!
