Why are we raising money?
Due to severe cuts to mental health funding CoolTan Arts really need your help to ensure we can continue our work.
“CoolTan is fantastic, I have never come to a place like it before (So much more than a day centre!) I am treated as an equal, as an ordinary person, and this is a lovely, rare experience for me since I became mentally ill. I love CoolTan…this is from the heart!”
This year the walk aims to raise at least £10,000 which would benefit CoolTan’s participants in any of the following ways:
Provide 200 free workshop sessions for vulnerable people without other funding from mental health services.
Provide accredited training sessions in employment skills for 60 people - enabling people to move into the workplace.
Expand our Cooking Club programme – giving our participants valuable life skills and access to affordable, nutritious meals.
