CoolTan Arts Message Board › This Saturday (22nd June) Summer Solstice Midnight Walk
It's this Saturday!
Come and join CoolTan Arts Largactyl Shuffle on a fun guided Midnight Walk - an exciting evening of summer solstice lunacy!
Explore the streets of South London by moonlight and learn more about the local history and landmarks, as well as Mad Buildings, Psychogeography and the Summer Solstice. The walk will visit a number of local buildings with an unusual design or purpose and look at some of the mysterious psychological effects that these locations can have on people.
There will be stops at the Marshalsea, where Dickens’ father was imprisoned; the Heygate, a huge neo-Brutalist housing estate awaiting demolition; Camberwell House, a former asylum; and Cross Bones Cemetery, a disused post-Medieval burial ground.
Meet at 11:45pm at Tate Modern, Turbine Halll entrance Bankside, London SE1 9TG, London
Hope to see some of you there!
