Do you like playing games like Monopoly, Chess, Cranium or Scrabble, but hate the hostility and tension that competition creates?

Or maybe you like active sports like tennis, hockey, soccer or volleyball? Interested in playing just for fun, where everyone is on the same team, but just as much skill is required?

Do you want to teach your child to play cooperatively instead of competitively but find it difficult because you yourself grew up only with competitive opportunities?

There will be 3 types of meetups:

1) Cooperative games (board games, card games, pub games).

2) Cooperative sports (tennis, volleyball, soccer, hockey, etc.)

3) Cooperative games for children (accompanied by adults).

Please let me know when you join the meetup which type(s) of meetups interest you.

A lot of people would agree that pre-school children should be encouraged to cooperate instead of compete, but would want older children to compete because that's how the "real world" is. There seems to be a perception that cooperative games for children is just for the purpose of dumbing things down for them. Part of the purpose of this meetup is to make the point that, even for adults, cooperative games and sports can be just as challenging, and a lot more fun, than competitive games and sports.
