Hi Sarah,
Sorry to hear the news, you will be missed as one of the true originals & someone who's verve & wit I really enjoyed. (Not having been for nearly 6 or 7 weeks, I'm not sure how the group is so when there isn't a place for a creative and caring soul as you, hmmm??)
Also sorry that I haven't been much help with the Anthology, it seems that work and personal life seems to have grabbed 24/7over the last several months and my jotter is as empty as the proverbial Mother Hubbard's cupboard.
Hi Sarah, I spoke to Andy about the cover at last night's meeting so I am going to get the sizes and specifications for the cover from him. However, I do not yet know what information is to be put on the cover (as in, the back cover). Was that ever discussed at any anthology meetings? If it wasn't, I can rough out some ideas and they can be discussed and improved on.
Thanks,
Amanda
Hi Sarah, I had heard from Janette that you were stepping down and I can't say I blame you. As de Facto leader, I will talk to the group and figure out how to proceed. Also, I put forward the idea of moving the group to Pulp Fiction books as it is loads quieter than Spoon. Tom Leonard came to the store to have a look. There are undercurrents at play it seems. Sigh. I hate politics. Hope to see you at writer's soon.
Hi Sarah, I came up with a couple of designs and brought them to the meeting before last - unfortunately you weren't there! I'm planning to be at next week's meeting so I'll work on them more and bring along the results.
Hey Sarah,
I am happy to host the meeting. I am once again unemployed and so may not be able to attend as many as I would like. However, if you let me know on Sunday evenings if you can't attend, I will be at the meeting on Monday. Apologies for the last missed meeting, but things are dark at the moment. I will be at the meeting next week. I vote for A Spoonful of Stories by the way. See you next week.
Hi Sarah - just reconfirming my preference for 'Edinburgh Shorts' - it is snazzy and indeed, as a branding / marketing guy, the one that usually comes in at the start of the creative process and feels right, usually is. Any more logic, brainstorming etc that is subsequently used to offer more options usually doesnt help and anything else never seems quite as good as the initial 'eureka' moment when the initial creative idea came up.
hi sarah
i like a spoonful of stories. hope to see you soon. kind regards susan
BTW - I liked your original 'Edinburgh Shorts' - funky - and it would lessen the impact and value of the book to make it too 'Spoon-centric'
methinks. We are building a book brand! ;-) (Marketer smugness)
Hi Sarah - re recent mailings - I can help you walk through the Completelynovel
site. I have Microsoft Word template you can use that may make it easier. Also I emailed Andrew as I cannot access forum with settings he provided, so havent seen anything there. I am on 0131 202 6090 most evenings. Well done for persevering!
