The 2012 British Urban Film Festival closes with Woolwich Boys, a crime/gangster debut feature from Anthony Abuah that focuses on the lives of 4 Nigerian friends, who embark on a life of '419' fraud crime in South-East London. Based on true events, the story is focused on the meteoric rise of 'Wale', a teenager who has recently arrived in the UK from Nigeria. When he is unable to complete his studies, he is enticed into a life of flashy cars, fancy women and money.

There was a vicious rumour started by someone who looks exactly like me that we had to be there by 7:30! Not true. It starts at 8:30pm so arrive by then. I'll be there by 8:15pm.

If you don't already have a ticket, The BUFF website says Woolwich Boys is sold out. If anyone with a ticket now can't attend and is happy to pass it on to a fellow member please post details here! PS it's not certain whether this is acceptable to BUFF, but it would be reasonable to expect it is (esp if they don't want empty seats!). I've emailed them so await their response.
