East Bay Mini Maker Faire

Come join the Counter Culture Labs booth at the East Bay Mini Maker Faire in Oakland!

The East Bay Mini Maker Faire is a much more intimate and more kid-friendly event than the big Maker Faire in San Mateo, but just as much fun, and with plenty of cool and crazy stuff for the grownups as well.

We'll run a bunch of fun demos (extract DNA from your own spit! learn about the Science of taste!) and have some gadgets to show off from our previous meetups, including some funky Winogradsky columns, and maybe even a heart in a jar!

Use code CCLAB to get a 15% discount when ordering tickets online!

Contact Patrik if you'd like to volunteer to staff the booth - we'll have some free tickets available for volunteers.

If I can get away from my booth I would love to come meet you all.
I believe I would be closer to a biohacker than anything else (although Matthew Senate has given me the term Org Nerd) as I worked as an EMT/CNA and a premed and nursing student once a upon a time ago. When I was 12yrs old, a friend gave me a subscription to New England Journal of Medicine and I was in absolute heaven. At home with the kids we extracted the DNA of a banana and made a pizza and jello model of the animal and plant cells. We had a lot of fun studying biology that year.
