Synthetic biology projects brainstorming for iGEM

  • Mar 17, 2014 · 6:30 PM

Join us for our second (and possibly final!) brainstorming session for project ideas to participate in the International Genetically Engineered Machines (iGEM) competition! iGEM has been the premier breading ground for a generation of synthetic biologists, and is also an incredible learning and networking opportunity. This is the first year DIYbio teams will be allowed to participate.

We already came up with a bunch of cool ideas last time - anything from 3D pattern formation, vegan cheese, in vitro evolution methods, to software or hardware to automate some of these protocols. See the full list HERE

If you would like to be actively involved in an iGEM team, please email [masked]!  Or just show up with your ideas...

Team registration is due on the 31st, so some time SOON we'll need to start narrowing down the range of ideas, and come to a GO / NO-GO decision. Depending on who wants to be involved, we can make it a Bay Area-wide team, or a CCL/BioCurious collaboration.
