Silent movies staring Charlie Chaplin, Wallace Berry, Chester Conklin, and Ben Turpin were made in current day Fremont around 1912. Many of the westerns were filmed in Niles Canyon (a part of Fremont) and our group is going to take the Train of Lights pulled by a vintage locomotive through the canyon to Sunol and back. The trip takes about an hour and there will be live music on the train. Read more
