In Hampton Road there are lots of Meetups for people with children, however, we wanted to socialize with other no-kidders like ourselves. We look forward to meeting people with similar lifestyles to our own. Some of us are empty nesters with grown kids/kids in college, who have pets we think of as our furkids. We also enjoy adult (no kid) time, so Meetups without the kids are always a welcome suggestion. Requirements are that you are parents to furkids (specifically dogs). If you have Cats there is a wonderful Meetup we can tell you about, just ask. If you happen to be a parent of a child that is now an adult and you have furkids . . . you still qualify. This group is about celebrating out commonalities. We look forward to meeting everyone and having a blast! When we say we are having a family-friendly event, it means you can bring the dogs (some are obvious, such as dog walks), as we have no kid-friendly events, unless your kids are home from college (but they probably do not want to hang out with the folks).
