Workshop
Your Immortal Reality: How to Break the Cycle of Birth and Death
Saturday, November 4, 10am to 4pm.
Gary's first book: The Disappearance of the Universe (DU) is an integral part of our ACIM workshops at NYTS, because it so clearly establishes the continuity from the pre-Pauline Jesus of the Thomas Gospel to A Course in Miracles.
In the Course Jesus mentions in various ways that his teaching has been misunderstood, and many critics from various times and places have questioned to what extent Paul reconstructed Jesus, and if he distorted anything. DU is a bridge in the tradition between the Thomas Gospel and the Course, which makes it very clear that Vicarious Salvation, the Eucharist and other major theological tenets and so-called mysteries of faith go back to Paul not Jesus, thus clearing the way for a total re-framing of what Jesus taught, as well as providing the foundation for practical application of his teachings of love and forgiveness in day to day living, as we walk our own path of Salvation, following him out of the dreamlife we think we lead, into the truth we really are.
Your Immortal Reality will pick up where DU left off, which was already pretty exciting, since it provided a popular and easily readable introduction to the Course, something which many people, me included, thought to be an utter impossibility.
Gary delivers with a smile, and you can get an autographed copy of the book too!
