Hi there, I did post before, but I'm a journalist for the Observer and I'm writing an article on Coursera and online education. Are any of you around for a meet-up this weekend?? Eg a coffee on Sunday morning? I would just be really interested to meet you in the flesh and ask you some questions about how and why you got involved with Coursera etc. Is anyone up for this?

- I'll be there! The cafe is at the Wellcome Collection, next door to the the Trust building, so the older building with the columns, not the modern glass one

Hi all, would Zsuzsanna's suggestion of 12pm in Kenwood House cafe work for people?? It's good for me becuase I can combine it with walking my dog (!) but is it okay for other people? what do you reckon?

Has the venue been agreed on? How about 12pm this Sunday, 4th Nov, at Kenwood coach house cafe on Hampstead Heath? Nearest tube station is Hampstead on the Northern Line.

Happy to share my coursera experience so far, as I've been saying all the good things about coursera in last a few weeks with colleagues. Not sure I could make it though given the pending location? I should be able to get anywhere in Central London around 2pm if the location is not too difficult to reach.

That's great! Thanks very much. That's interesting about the other meet-up, Sam. I hadn't seen that. Shame I missed last week's. Would we be able to make the meet a bit earlier, do you think? Say 11am? Or if that's too early, 12? Has anyone got any good suggestions for a zone 1 cafe? Just somewhere easy to get to and likely to have a table...

- 11am works for me. My initial suggestion would be the cafe at the Wellcome Collection, on Euston Road opposite Euston station. It's large and easy to find. (It opens at 11 on Sundays, so don't try to be early, but it definitely won't be full!)
  P.S. My partner is also doing a course so she may join too.

Hi Carole - I can't join you this weekend, but do check out our other group that covers all the new online courses, i.e. EdX, Udacity, Coursera etc. http://www.meetup.com/Londo... we started back in Fall 2011 and meet regularly every Wednesday night. Cheers, Sam

I'd be very keen - I'm available all day Sunday and Saturday pm. Live near London Bridge but can travel around London (Crouch End seems a bit far though! Zone 1?).
