By special request I've moved April's photowalk from Sunday the 14th to Thursday the 25th. Several people asked if it's possible to get in a Moon Rise shoot. So on checking when the next Full moon is we discovered it's on Thursday April 25th.
We will meet at 8pm on the high platform in the Courtenay Airpark. This is the platform where you can get a shot of the glacier without any power lines in the way. Just after you cross the little bit of estuary under the Covered part of the bridge if you take the 2nd path on your left you will end up on the wood platform at the top.
Bring your tripod cause you will need it to hold your camera steady. I will have a couple of extras to lend if necessary. If you have a cable release for your camera bring that too. If you don't have one then you will have to read up on how to set the self timer on your camera in order to use that instead. I will have my neutral density filters to share round but if you own a Circular Polarizing filter be sure and bring that.
Dress for a cool evening, don't forget your gloves. We will be able to shoot from 8 right through to 10 if we can stand the cold. Afterwards we can adjourn to the Whistle Stop Pub for warming up and chimping our pictures.
Looking forward to a fun evening, see you all there.
