Fanny Bay Sea Lions

We're going out with the tides again this walk. This time we're off to visit the Sea Lions at Fanny Bay.  Hopefully the tide is low enough to let us walk out closer to these magnificent creatures.

We will meet in the Target parking lot at 10:30, carpooling is an option. I will have room for three people and their gear.  The drive is reasonably short, approximately 40 minutes on the Old Island Highway.  We may even have time on the way home to stop and snap some shots so be watching on the way down for likely photo ops.

Please wear or bring gum boots or suitable footwear for walking on a wet sandy beach area.  The low tide will be at approximately 11:40 am and is only 6.9 feet. Hopefully this will be close enough to the booms to get some decent shots.  Bring your long lenses and tripods.  Dress warm, you can always take it off but can't put it on if you don't have it with you.  Bring water, it's thirsty work walking up and down this beach.

After the shoot and possible stops on the way home we can meet at the A&W right across the street from the Target parking lot where our vehicles will be waiting for us.

See you all there!

Cheers, Arlene

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
