Imagineering Festival

Imagineering Festival is a Coventry City Centre Art festival produced by Imagineneer Productions.

Coventry Makerspace will be attending the event to show and tell the makerspace activities. We will also be providing a repair service where the public can ask us to assist them in self repairing a wide range of products, which may or may not be presented to us on the day! Alongside these activities we will also be re-purposing wine and beer bottles into useful items by scoring and cutting them and then sanding the edges. Carrying on with the up-cycling theme we will be using reclaimed timber to produce garden furniture (benches, tables, potting tables etc).

We need you to come along and volunteer to take part and make this a fun and enjoyable day for both us the makers and the general public. We do want to do this as it publicises the makerspace and will drive membership and donations. Please do help out the Makerspace wishes to ensure that your membership fees are as low as possible and that the best tools are provided, will do this by increasing our numbers..

    Hi;
    1) where is the recycled timber coming from? What sort of grade is it, i.e. is it big and chunky or old featheredge fence boards?

    Hey; great event, OK it rained a bit a couple of times, but hey, I got a door made, and thanks to Emma we got some vases/candle holders made from old bottles. Beer bottles worked better than wine; there must be a lesson there!

    No electricity unless we generate it ourselves.... Aww no 3d printers then. Could pre-print some parts for some cool flower vases over cut glass bottle. Anyway Hi! I am new to your group.

      Hi Hillary, we are looking into using leisure batteries to power an ultimaker so we can print on the day.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
