The malt. Wait, no, the hops. The yeast, definitely the yeast. Actually, all of it. How yeast interacts. The different varieties of hops. The way it plays with the malt. The culture. The taste. All of it.
Doesn't matter, as long as more people are making and drinking craft beer.
The Abyss, by Deschutes. I've not really discovered German craft beers yet, just a few landbiers.
I do, but I have not brewed in a couple of years. But I'm hoping to get back into it.
I was lucky enough to be there when the craft beer movement really took off in Mexico, and lived close enough to the border to make excursions to the US and get some craft beer from there. With a friend, we started brewing our own until I moved away
