Some crafts I have a passion for, others I attempt and succeed at varying degrees while sharing time , resources and objectives with likeminded people is time well spent!
I don't know about anyone else but I have withdrawal symptoms if I'm not making something. Some of my 'creations' do not end up as anything accept a lesson on what I should have done. I'm not big on instruction when 'I' think I know to do it. It's more of a visual thing for me and my logical side of my brain tells me I can do it then it's boots and all. Our meetup is not just about knitting, sewing or any one particular craft fashion or fad. Others in the group are very good with instructions. (I do read them when all esle fails) so whatever catagory you put yourself in -Beginner to experienced, it's all about making connections with other like-minded crafters. It's about the friendliness, the craft, the processes and sometimes the outcomes. 'Crafters for Karma' has a level of community awareness. The 'Beanies for babies' Mater Hospital project is our current project and probably one that has no time limit. Join us next time even if it's just to say hello.
You must be signed in to post a Greeting.
"Last weekend, five of my grandchildren had a sleep-over at our house. One child in particular has often asked my when I was going to teach him to knit. So the lesson began...."
