A practical guide to managing front-end dependencies with npm and bower in VS

In his debut session, Nick Banford will be:

"going over some of the issues with using NuGet for front end packages and why we should look at alternatives. I will introduce using npm and bower. I will go through installing the required tools and what Visual Studio integration is available. I will then look at how we can integrate these other package managers with a build system."

This will be a practical session so bring a laptop and try things out as we go along.

Most of the talk will also be applicable to Mac/Linux users, so don't worry if you have to skip the Visual Studio bit.

Darn I really wanted to be there for this one one but I'm on holiday. Let me know if this gets repeated.
