St. Bede's Church
I've reserved a rec room for us where we can spread out with our projects and meet some other crafty friends.
Finish those half-made crafts living in the back of your closet (or the back of your head!). Get creative with some artistic, funky folks, and get inspired to tackle new, adventurous projects. Bring ANY creative project and inspire the group!
Our venue has ample space to spread out your crafty projects - long tables, round tables, floor space. You might want to bring an extension cord if you happen to be bringing a sewing machine (there's lots of outlets).
We've made costumes; corsets; jewelry; scrapbooks and cards; crocheted hats and knitted scarves; pieced quilts; cross-stitched designs; converted jeans to skirts; whipped up dresses, curtains, duvet covers, sofa slipcovers, and garments galore. Heck, we've even had friends bring laptops and design websites! :-) So there's really no limit.
Even if you don't know how to put thread in your sewing machine or use your new knitting needles, join us, and perhaps we can show you the basics and maybe even (who knows?) inspire you to other great projects.
All crafters are welcome! We usually have mostly women, but occasionally guys join us.
Just $5 to cover the hall rental.
Feel free to bring any crafting items you want to recycle from your stash and give to others. Our members have gone home with new patterns, notions, scrapbooking supplies, even extra sewing machines!
