Liz Walker is co-founder and executive director of EcoVillage at Ithaca (EVI) (www.ecovillageithaca.org ), founded 22 years ago as a “living laboratory” of sustainable practices and the most prominent model sustainable intentional community in the Northeast. Widely known as a leader on ecovillages and sustainable communities, she is author of "EcoVillage at Ithaca: Pioneering a Sustainable Culture" (2005) and "Choosing a Sustainable Future: Ideas and Inspiration from Ithaca, New York (2010, winner of the “2011 Living Now Book” award from the Independent Publishers; both New Society Publishers); see also www.liz-walker.org.
