I live at Earthaven Ecovillage near Black Mountain, N.C. Our community is a large family of diverse ages and personalities. We play soccer, have pot-luck dinners, and plan/live our sustainable culture. Community is heaven even when it is hell.
I will facilitate (make easy) the foundation of one or more communities to serve my greater family. My forte' is research, marketing, project management, and start-up. I have experience in construction, farming, real-estate, and community.
"This group has the opportunity to create our heaven on earth. Instead of a preprogrammed system of limited possibilities, we have the opportunity to dream and create our highest choice of living and life. Mmmmmm! We can do it!"
We have an awesome group of diverse professionals to support our growth. We have the perfect mix of age groups to represent the desires of our human family. We will discuss what we are going to do and do it. Stay tuned.

Hi Art, Check out my profile and pictures. :) I joined only too late to participate in the rock dust talk. I have been using my rock dust in my garden for 8 years, with great success! My company is called Maine Rock Flour. I utilize fines composed mostly from granites and basalts. It contains excellent amounts of calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sulfur, and modest amounts of phosphorous, as well as trace elements manganese, copper, iron, and zinc. Would you like to order some?
Hey Art looks like I will be moving back to the area so looking forward to connecting again and see if there is anything I can do to help with this! Ziggy
Hey Art,
Been very busy this past year and haven't paid much attention to any emails etc. (just bought a house and have been doing renovations without any help). I am still very much interested in creating a cob community and in the meantime learning to avoid the pitfalls of the process.
Cheers,
-William
Hi Art,
I et you last May when I visited Earthhaven and other Asheville-area intentional communities. I'm very interested in what your doing. I have a contract on my Colorado house and will be ready to move before the end of November. In a few weeks, I'll take a trip out there and I hope I can meet with you again and meet other people it the group to see what progress has been made on purchasing property. Look forward to visiting!! Carla
I wish we could be there! We're actually still in Austin. We won't be in Asheville until August or September. I will definitely be attending some meetups when we arrive. We can't wait to make new friends:)
Thanks!
-Shea
hey Art it's so great that i met you today, so excited about the possibilities
Hi, Art,
I'd like to talk with you. Can I get your phone number and an email? I'm at [masked], [masked]. Maybe I'll see you Friday. Not sure that will work out - Friday evenings are kind of special sacred family time.
Thanks! Tree
Hi Art,
I am down with what I thought was a flu but apparently is chicken pox (didn't think you could get that twice in your life), so I won't be able to attend the meeting this Friday. I am very bummed, because it seems that these meetings are so far apart that everything moves very slowly. Anyway, please keep me posted. Sorry to miss dinner, too!
Love,
Yol
Hi Art,
Thanks for the welcoming message. I know what intentional community is about and am curious about this particular one. Not sure if it will fit our needs or not, but I'd like to explore all options for us at this time.
Hi Dad! Nice to see you here! Happy New Year and Stuff! ~ Jeffrey and Erin
