Lets get cooking | Theme: BBQ

It's summer - we gotta do BBQ! This one is going to be a Carnivore's dream. Smoke, grill, or bbq up some meat and don't forget the sides. (Our gas grill will be available to use. Just let us know if you plan on grilling here)

How it works:

1. Create your best representation of this month's theme - use your favorite recipe, invent something amazing, or find a delectable recipe online. 3. If you'd like to share your recipe, bring enough printed copies for everyone to take one home. 4. Show up with your amazing dish, recipes and whatever drink you would like to consume or share. 5. Eat, drink, talk, laugh. 6. Leave with some leftovers, new recipes and new friends.

Thanks Charity and Joe for the fabulous grill and your charming hospitality (as always)! Any of you like chicken gizzards ?

You are RIGHT! The fried gizzards in tamarind sauce I make is THREE times more flavorful and addictive than the brochettes of chicken lemongrass... Ask David!

Dear sweet Samantha, Thanks for sharing your fabulous recipe. I think some folks may have a "hard" time buying BBQ ribs at a commercial food joint after this! As for my dish: As usual, I did not follow any recipe, (but I'm glad it turn out OK and you guys like it! ) to do it, just get chicken (dark meat) marinated in salt, pepper, sweet soy sauce and lemon grass, put on the brochettes with baby vegetables, brush olive oil on, and borrow Charity's & Joe's fabulous gas grill to put them on !

Charity & Joe, I'm running late. I'm going to have to use your grill to finish up the ribs if you don't mind

Since I see so much food, I am switching it up. I found two great summer cocktails in BH&G. I will bring some cocktails recommended for grilling.

In order to immerse myself in the Texas culture, I bought a small smoker. I've done some chicken & pork, but am thinking it's time to tackle the Texas staple...drum roll please...Brisket! If it turns out well, we'll bring brisket. If it turns out terrible, we'll buy some from our friends bbq restaurant and tell y'all that we made it! :)
