Specify if you are Crew (=anyone without a boat). Or if a Skipper, please note boat specs & a harbor name:
Crew. I do have some racing experience, and loved it.
[All] What sailing schedule are you looking for: Weekdays, weekends, daysail, longer cruises?
Yes. Since I freelance professionally as singer and actress, I have changing schedules and personal flexibility.....i.e., could crew on various days.
[Skippers] Describe the sailing you do (race, cruise, etc) Are you looking more for deckhands or social guests? Describe what you expect onboard. Do you want especially agile or weather hearty crew? Will you teach active learners? Please say more:
I'm not a boat owner, except for kayaks and small inflatables.
[Crew] What are you hoping to do: Cruise, race, casually socialize, do vigorous sail handling, beginner learning, gain more helm experience? Do you like it when the boat tips? Describe both your past on-water experience & what you're looking for now:
I've answered most of this in a box above.
I had a "six pack" certification in the 1990's, but didn't keep it renewed; I used my boat to help out at "Sail Boston" events in the harbor.
[All] If you wish to, use this space to note any courses in sail, sea or air. Useful knowledge such as CPR, Wilderness First Aid, EE, ME, Diesel, Nav, culinary or military background. Do you play an instrument, take great photos or plan a good party?
Obtained a 6-pack license in late '90s-early '00s to help on water at the various Sail Bostons.
I owned/captained a beloved 27' Lancer powersailer from 1987 through 2009, from slips in Fairhaven, Portsmouth R.I., and Boston Harbor. Cruising radius was Montauk N.Y. to Kennebunkport. I parted with my boat to gain the time and ability to travel.
