Like Zaphod from the Douglas Adams books, I'm just this guy, yanno? I have had nine or ten books professionally, and several short stories--am currently writing a new novel of different trajectory than my others. I think. Mostly. Maybe.
Horror, SF, Poetry, Genre Romance. I am currently revising my previously published novels and Kindle Books/Amazon is publishing these online. I am friends with Karen Koehler of KHP Pulishing online and in paperback. She also has been the artist for two of my online covers. I have sold my novels under my name, also under my pseudonym from paperback publishing years, David Darke. These books are OOP but you can probably find used copies. If you want to hear about that sordid past, just ask Brad or Sue or a member of the HWA from back in the nineties. I am currently writing my first new novel after two 'recovery novels' while healing from my last brain bruising when I was TRULY 'scatterbrained.' But at least not splatter brained. <g> So hi, WELCOME to MY nightmare. (Really, it's not so bad--you get used to stuff after awhile, and good things often come my way, praise the Lord!)
As I have no car at this time, I have been very blessed by Pamala Williams coming to pick me up and take me to and from meetings and am very thankful to her for this. I really enjoy the meetings and the people attending. This is a nice event for me and I like the encouragement of intelligent writers talking about writing and marketing. Great writing! This is a better group I believe than of any past writer's group I have been to. As Siskel and Ebert once acclaimed good and great movies they reviewed: THUMBS UP! A very helpful group of great writers, all of whom are very nice people!
Hello, Ron, I think we went to high school together. You were writing urban fantasy and other cool stuff back then.
Thank you for the welcome!
Thanks Ron...I am hoping for the best
Thanks for the greeting, Ron. It looks like I'll have to skip the first meet up. Doctor visit in Dallas trumps fun. Maybe next time.
Thank you so much. Ingrid
