OK Lois, here goes.

I plan to have a new picture soon, but the attached one will do for now.

My Word Press user name is joeharwell

My bio is as follows:

I'm a Tulsa, OK author and self publisher who began writing novels in 2009. I participate in several writers groups and learn something about writing every day. My background includes retail management, coal mining, telecom, TV, newspaper, scrap metal buyer, etc. Yes, I have difficulty figuring out what to do with myself, but I've lived a very interesting life. The smartest thing I've ever done was marry my high school sweetheart Becky. We were together for more than 36 years until her death in the November, 2008. Out of my sorrow came the creativity of my writing, and I'm still at it.

My first two novels are part of a four book series called The Indian Rock Vampire which are about power and how it's used in every level of society. The story is my own twisted interpretation of the symbols on a southeastern Oklahoma landmark called the Heavener Runestone located near my hometown of Poteau.  My latest novel titled One Drug is a futuristic thriller set in 2052.  Check out these novels and projects in the works at

Okay everyone! The holidays are over and the new year has begun. It's time to get back to writing...and start blogging about it!
