SPEAKER: This is the fourth presentation that Ken Moses has done for
the Critical Thinkers -- the first was about Public Transportation,
which he presented to all four Critical Thinking Clubs along with
seven other organizations that requested it; at one of them, he warned
about infrastructure hazards only a few hours before the I-35 bridge
collapse. The second and third topics were two different editions
about the Abuse of the English Language. Ken had an illustrious
40-year career in the theatre and overlapped that with a second career
in Disability Advocacy and Services; he received awards in both
careers.
TOPIC: "How to Train a Cat: The Evolution of the Human Animal"

Ken embarks on an informal, idiosyncratic personal journey through his
experiences with animal cultures and society, finding a continuity
with human culture and society. Along the way he'll make side trips to
visit Darwin and evolution, autism, reproduction and childbirth, the
rodeo and the circus, and several other somehow-relevant areas. His
face-to-face experiences with animals often differ from the
“conventional wisdom” of anthropologists, psychologists, and
religionists, but are supported by recent sociobiological research.
