Topic: Historical Roots of the Great Recession,[masked]

A panoramic view of the period[masked], divided into two eras: The Golden Era,[masked] and the Neo-Liberal Era, 1980-2007. Each of these eras will be divided into periods of ascent and descent. By examining the dynamics of these four periods, the speaker will present how they culminated in the Great Recession of 2007-2009. The focus will be on the events leading to the Great Recession rather than the particulars of the recession itself.

Dick Taylor has an academic background in political economy, and has taught related subjects in the Minneapolis Public School System for many years. He has frequently spoken and written copiously on topics in political economy.
