Hello Critical Thinkers, your involvement is requested!  I am in the process of collaborating with Mel Sweet and Devin Hess, directors of the documentary film 'Cascadia,' a film that explores the evolving concept of bioregionalism.  Mel and Casey Brian Corcoran, the producer of 'Cascadia', are in town for the next two weeks as we work on producing a film centered around the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) in order to  create the space for the discussions that are necessary to ensure the protection and preservation of this important part of our bioregion. The goal of this project is to raise awareness/consciousness while discussing the layers of dominant culture and the need to "heal" the landbase and relationships of the bioregion through participation and cooperation. As a result of all that is taking place (e.g. mining, gas lines, etc.), we will be screening and discussing the bioregional approach presented through 'Cascadia' while we travel the area filming for this bioregion project. If you are interested in learning more about 'Cascadia' and the content to be explored through our project, the following link will take you to the 'Cascadia' trailer (~10 minutes in length; the content as well as the score and cinematography are phenomenal!!!):
