More times than not when you first lay your eyes on a new workout the first initial reaction is “that doesn’t look so tough”, well my answer to that is just do it and we’ll talk when you get done…9 times out of 10 your opinion of it will do a 180. Independent of your current fitness level there is one thing that everyone has in common. If you push yourself as hard as you possibly can, you WILL benefit from it. I know full and well that not everyone has the desire (or ability) to bust out 30 pull-ups but guess what? If you can only do 5 and every rep is a struggle then you did work and made gains so you win.
I can honestly say that the days of going to the gym and working out like the majority of the people are over. Every now and again there is a exception, I lift like I used to just to remind myself of how little I enjoy it, how much longer they take and especially how much less of a cardio aspect they entail.
