In 1987, Korea's two most famous baseball players -- pitchers Choi Dong-Won (Cho Seung-Woo) of the Lotte Giants and Sun Dong-Ryul (Yang Dong-Geun) of the Haitai Tigers -- are locked in a fierce competition that has gripped the nation. The regional rivalry of Jeolla and Gyeongsang Provinces only intensifies their face-off and attracts the attention of politicians, press, and the public alike. As the two players struggle under pressure from all sides, everything is on the line in what would be their final game.
Based on a true story, director Park Hee-gon's 2011 film Perfect Game captures the palpable intensity of the two players' epic final game on May 16, 1987. In Korean with English subtitles; 127 minutes. Viewer discretion is advised for adult language.
