Enjoyed by the local Greek community, this fantastic night (presented by Brighton Hellenic Nights) showcases brilliant musicianship, wonderful dancing (which you can definitely particpate in!) and a terrific vibe. George was born in England from parents of Kalimnian decent, he started playing bouzouki from the age of 9 and hasn't stoped since. As well as having played with some of Greece's stars such as Andipas, Hadzithakina & Demis Roussos, he has had the pleasure of working with some of the not so well known but still finest musicians around.
'Original and modern Greek music, strongly influenced by Greek traditional, Gypsy and island music. Led by the virtuoso bouzouki and distinctively soulful voice of George Kypreos, and driven by the strong rhythmic grooves of Gypsy guitar, Syrian darbouka and a rocking English back-line.'
Tickets £8 in advance, buy your own tickets. The performance starts sometime after 9pm and finishes after midnight.
Only olives , houmous and similar snacks are available to eat on the night in the Latest Music Bar. However we are meeting earlier in All Bar One as well if you wish to eat...
Do come along, they don't happen so often anymore, but in my opinion (when they do) it's the best world music and dance night happening in Brighton!
