I was bamboozled! Have just noticed that they rules say the George character was only allowed to use his 1D4 special damage against me once in the game! http://zmangames.com/rulebooks/Shadow_Hunters.pdf
But yeah I loved that game (Shadow Hunters) so have ordered it. Seems like I'm slowly hoovering-up decent games that involve accusations.

That was only used once. - he had a whicte card that was +2 pluse the equipment he got from you so at lease a +3
Yeha. You're talking about his mega attack combo. But it was definitively said that his 1d4 special could be used each turn! Don't think it made any difference - not even sure he got it off a second time. It just would have been especially cool if my werewolf had torn through everyone for a win, not just come close! Anyway, a fab game so I've already bought it!
I'd like to join in on Game of Thrones.

Sorry, I don't think anyone will be playing GoT this week. I will remove it from the description.

I've just noticed the date. I won't be in England on the 31st, I'm going home for Christmas so I'll have to wait until the new year!

Not sure what you mean but this meetup is happening today!
Doh! Read it as Dec 31st! I that case, I will try to come!
I hope to be able to pop along for the first time tomorrow. I'll bring Trains and Jamaica (both light to medium games). I'll play just about anything though!

I'll definitely bring Cosmic Encounter plus all expansions. But fine to go with the flow. Interested in the idea of trying Puerto Rico for a second time - I remember enjoying how you could be really annoying to opponents with the shipping/captain mechanic.
I'm enjoying this week off. I just spend 20 minutes online finding out whether online RTS wargamer Jon Snow was the history guy off the telly (he isn't).

Isn't he the guy from Game of Thrones?

Oh - that's another thing for me to google, but I dount it's him playing retro classic Age of Empires 2 online!
Looks like I'll be able to pick up my copy of Eldritch Horror from Orcs Nest tomorrow. Anyone interested in a game? I estimate it would take anything between 2-4 hours to play. If there's enough interest I'll try and teach.
Here's a video about the game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-J2KzQb5lI
If the quality of the designer's beard is anything to go by the game should rule!
There's an impromptu game the day I post this (28 November) at this location: The Horseshoe Inn, 26 Melior Street London SE1 3QP. It's a couple of hundred yards away from London Bridge train station.
I'm going, as is a dude I know called Stuart from Leeds (he's down for a couple of days so I threw him a game!). now Steven W and also Emma (for a few hours) can be there. By all means turn up. Lord knows if the table arrangements will work smoothly, though, as I winged it a bit and it's not got special rooms or anything (apparently I've 'booked a table').
Looking forward to this weekend! I'm down for a few shorter games as well. Though now and again I don't mind and epic 4 hour clash of armies lol.

This will be the final meeting of 2013 as we have none planned during December.
I'm going to sit out Game of Thrones this time (due to our inability to finish a game in under 4 hours :p)
I'd be keen to play a few shorter games instead of an epic. I can bring a few along. Will have a look closer to the time, but might be up for some Cosmic, Puerto Rico or Power Grid?
I won't be able to attend this one, but I'm sure you can all sort yourselves out. Remember it's in the main bar room upstairs, not the club room at the back. I'll confirm the number of attendees with the pub nearer the time to make sure there are enough tables reserved, so please RSVP if you intend to come.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
