Cruise Ship Headliners...

This is an amazing group for currently active cruise ship professional headlining entertainers. All disciplines, including but not limited to: instrumentalists, comedians, vocalists, groups, and magicians.

This group will meet at the private rehearsal and concert theater facility of Ryan Ahern. Across the street from the Palms Hotel and Casino.

IMPORTANT: You will have to qualify to be involved in this group. You must be an active headliner. Not someone who did a couple ships a year ago, or something, but a real professional, support your life by headlining, kind of performer. If you headline at corporate events Ryan will consider your membership, too. You will need to prove your work status. This group will be made up of the hard working professionals that spend their lives away from their friends and family making the world smile and sacrificing so much to promote live entertainment and whom have dedicated themselves enough to be an active member of the headlining community. Okay, having said that, let us describe what the group will be for.

This group will be held in a full fledged private performance theater. Not just someone's living room. Here are a few things the concert theater has: Concert Grand Piano, Full Dave Weckl style drum set, 35' Mainstage, Lights/Fog, Pro sound system, Mics, Amps, Greenroom, Restrooms, and even a gift shop among so much more.

My vision for the group is to get headlining entertainers together and act as audience and performer. Headliners will be able to try out new material, revise old material, and get contructional criticism by fellow entertainers. All ego's are strictly checked at the door and we will demand a respectful, fun, and open minded bunch of professional headliners who have the greater good of the entertainment industry in their hearts. On any given meet up we will give the stage to anyone who is wanting to perform their act, or part thereof, for the constructional criticism of the audience and/or to keep sharp. Not just to keep sharp and try new things, but get feedback from respectable fellow entertainers that want to see you and everyone else succeed. And as you know, trying new things out on the gig is sometimes risky. Here will be a safe invironment, where you can try anything. We will then open the floor to discussion and ideas on imporvement or just for compliments, whatever you want. We may even have annonymous review forms that are filled out by the audience and given to the performer, if you want. It will all be done with respect and will be the most unique environment you have every seen to take your performance to the next level.

We will also be discussing the current state of the industry, share funny stories of the ships, travel fupahs, and agency pros and cons. Its a real 'fight club' atmosphere where we all will benefit. Networking is not the primary goal here like most groups, however I imagine we will all become best of friends that will serve us for years to come. I get tired of "Networking" groups, we all know a lot of very important people, and plenty of not important people too. If we can help each other, great. Otherwise, this is the breeding ground for the professional entertainer to go from active headliner to top 5% of in demand entertainers in the industry. And I strongly believe that live performance in a professional atmosphere, surrounded in a safe environment of fellow professionals who are willing to let you know what was great and what was a little flat, will mold your act into a standing ovation everytime.
