Meet awesome musicians, make allies and move our music forward!

I am a singer-songwriter, event organiser and music marketer, and the purpose of this group is for all musicians to meet up in a supportive atmosphere, make new friends, and work out ways to move their music forward.

I honestly believe that community moves us ALL forward - I have experienced this myself by joining musicians groups and wanted to do something similar in south London.  I am also changing the structure of the meetup slightly to ensure everyone gets to talk to everyone else, following member feedback.

Come along, make new friends, meet new musical allies, find gigs (all these things have happened for members since we set up in May 2013), all in a supportive atmosphere.

Yes it did, but unfortunately it costs me upwards of $144 a year to run this meetup on Meetup, so the small investment of £3 per person per meetup is to cover costs.

    Hi everyone,

This meetup is always at Café Thing at Antenna Studios (link above - postcode is SE19 3AN) - for some reason this didn't get pulled through on the recurring meetup above, and I've been in Manchester until today so haven't been able to sort it out. Apologies - hope to see you later tonight!

Yes, I would be up for the studio next door idea but we would need to locate one in / near CP. Perhaps getting a bit late in the day for this meet (tonight)? Good idea though.

Next door to a studio that likely has rooms free on the night, in case someone wants to ad-hoc start a jam (wild idea, I know!) might be a good M.O. in general... I can talk about music til the cows come home, but making it in a relaxed unpretentious manner is more fun... What say yourselves?

You could try the Green Dragon Pub in West Croydon

Hello all, any thoughts about the location for this? I would suggest somewhere but live in East Dulwich rather than CP and don't really know where might be good..
