Ceramic Tiles at the Port Moody Arts Centre

The 10 am session is now sold out, but we still have places at a 1pm session. Get in touch as soon as possible if you would like to join us then!

Culture Babes is hosting a session at the Port Moody Arts Centre. Not only will we receive a tour of the current exhibit at the Centre, but we will also get to make ceramic impressions of our tot's hands or feet, and then decorate our tiles, which will be glazed and fired. The Port Moody Arts Centre is a lovely place, housed in Port Moody's Old City Hall. If you have not yet made it to Port Moody (a short bus ride from Lougheed Skytrain), this will be a great opportunity to make the trip. Port Moody's Suter Brook and Newport Village neighborhood, which is just a short drive from the Arts Centre, is home to the fabulous Dandelion Kids (also on Commercial Drive), Chomp, a kid-friendly vegan eatery, and the Village Toyshop, rated among the top toyshops in Canada by Today's Parent in 2012. Finally, Port Moody was originally the destination point for the Trans-Canada railroad, and is home to the charming Port Moody Station Museum, a perfect stop for your mini-train enthusiast! Tickets for the session at the Port Moody Arts Centre are $21 per adult and include the cost of the ceramic tile.

Sorry, I keep doing that! I am counting the adults as the spots, but I would be grateful if you could let me know in advance how many tiles you would like to make, so that the ceramics instructor can have them ready. Many thanks!
