BAY AREA SAXOPHONE QUARTET

Sorry that this is posted so late! I plan to have more time in 2011. However this will be a good concert and I will be there. Hope to see you. I will have a name tag on.

On Sunday, December 12 at 3 p.m., the Center will host As Time Goes By: Medieval to Modern with the Bay Area Saxophone Quartet. The Bay Area Saxophone Quartet, comprised of musicians Jay B. Starkey (soprano), Craig MacDougal (alto), Jim Burge (tenor) and Ted Hope (baritone), formed more than 26 years ago and has been touring the Bay Area ever since.
The performance will include selections from J.S. Bach/Starkey, Berlioz/Worley, Joplin/Hayden, Gates, Tweed, Lunde and more! The quartet performed a “farewell concert” at the Center in 2008 before one of the founding members relocated to a new city. December 12 will mark Craig MacDougal’s debut performance at the Center as part of the quartet.
The performance’s theme pays homage to the quartet’s two new CDs: As Time Goes By and Medieval to Modern.
Admission: $10 for members / $15 for non-members
