Hope you are all enjoying a fantastic President's Day weekend, it's time to schedule another meeting! As many of you know, last month Cupertinker Space held the very first historic hackerspace meeting in Cupertino, to set the groundwork for future plans and location scouting. I am enthralled by how many people share my interest in bringing the hacker/maker revolution to our home- when I created this group a few months ago I did not expect such a fantastic turn out.
This week, we will be meeting at Hobbee's on Sunday 23. The next meeting will be a part follow up to our last meeting (checking in with various other members) a discussion on current topics in hacking and making and finally an introduction for any new members. Additionally, the Maker Faire is coming up in a few months and I propose having our own booth at the convention.
Also, we have some exciting news. As some of you already know, Charles and his family have graciously proposed to host a Technology Bruncheon for us on March 1, starting 11:00 am. This bruncheon will be at his house and will include a series of member-driven lightning talks ranging from diverse topics such as artificial intelligence, introduction to startups and wearable technology. However, as they are hosting the event at their house and space will be limited, I will not be posting the location or an RSVP to the event through our Meetup.com page.
So how can you reserve? Well, if you're already attended our First Meeting in January, you've already been invited! However for NEW members to join, the only way for reserve seating to this event is to attend our second meeting this Friday and talk to me in person. Also reservations will be on first come basis and will be limited to 10.
Anyway, hope to see you all Friday!
