Thursday Training Ride of the Rollers

THIS RIDE IS FOR INTERMEDIATES AND ADVANCING INTERMEDIATE RIDERS
We will be leaving Performance Bike of Greenwood at 6pm sharp on Thursdays for a spirited 25 – 35 mile ride on rolling terrain through Johnson and Morgan Counties.
While this is a no drop ride – (i.e. no one will be left behind) it will be the intention to keep a brisk pace, so come prepared to ride hard at times. The idea is to improve you road speed and fitness. If we have enough coaches on any given night we will allow for different pace groups (and I think we will be able to accommodate 2 right from the beginning)
Road Bikes are strongly suggested as the bike of choice for this ride THIS IS AN INTERMEDIATE RIDE so it will be CHALLENGING. It is intended to be that way.
Helmets are required

Be ready to ride at 6pm Sharp
Tires aired up (everytime you ride)
Ready to leave at 6pm

Don’t forget
tire repair equipment – tubes, CO2, patch kit tire levers – bike jack
2 water bottles filled with your favorite sports beverage
Snacks
Cash just in case
Your cell phone
Your bike
cycling shoes
helmet
great attitude

If you come out and have trouble keeping up at first do not be discouraged, we have all been there, but you may very well be challenged to hang on to any group, just come to the ride with the mindset that this could be a possibility. We want you to be challenged!

It was nice to ride with you Trina! Now you will have no doubt about doing the 30 mile loop at the Girlfriend ride this weekend! Don't forget to adjust your seat and try it out before you get started tomorrow!

Thanks for coming out Mike! I disagree that Thursday ride is harder than Tuesday! Hills must be easy for you! Hope to see you out on the road again sometime soon!

Quick question. Is the meeting spot for this ride at southwest park or performance?

I ave about 13 mph would that be appropriate for your pace?

Hi Mike, Yes, we generally end up with 2 pace groups on this ride depending on who shows up and I am certain that you will fit well in one of the two groups. We strongly recommend road bikes for the Tuesday and Thursday rides.
