  • June 14, 2013 · 7:00 PM

Please join us for this excellent value bushcraft and survival training weekend. Set in a beautiful Wellow Forest, close to Bath, this three days adventure covers:

The instructor has spent over 20 years in the armed forces and has served with the British Special Forces.

We will travel there on Friday night, 14 June 2013. We will be meeting at Waterloo station at 6:50pm, waiting for the late comers until 7:05pm we will make our way to the platform to take the 7:20pm train to Bath. We will arrive at 9:50 in Bath. (train tickets included)

From Bath station we will take taxis to Fox & Badger pub, Railway lane, Wellow, Bath, BA2 8QG, where we will be picked up by the instructor. (taxis not included, but shouldnt be more than a couple of pounds per person).

We will camp this night in the forest. We will either stop at the Fox & Badger Pub for some Food (I am just waiting for them to get back to me regarding until what time they serve food) or we will need to have our own provisions for this evening. (Friday night meal is not included)

This night we will camp in the forest and the next morning at 8am we will start our training. We will finish training on Sunday at around 3pm.

We are then taking the train back at 4:20 pm, arriving in Waterloo at 7pm !

Fee: Early bird of £160 applies if you pay your deposit by end of April and pay the reminder of the fee by 15th of May. If these deadlines are missed the full price will be £185.

Any plans for people to do stargazing whilst they are out there (obviously dependent on the weather) ? Presumably tents will be provided?

Once we're there, we're in the instructor's hands. So we'll see what he has in mind but that's a brilliant idea !
We will not be in tents but rather we will setup a main shelter for everyone to share, this will be poncho type as used in the forces again we will provide bivi bags to provide extra protection.

Hi Violetta, have you received my emails regarding the payment? Could you please respond ASAP?

      June 4, 2013

  • Kat

If you have dietary requirements please contact us in advance, this is not a major issue as the MOD packs have vegetarian options and we will be able to trade. (please note that the food we supply serves a purpose and that is to keep your body operating, so we suggest if you want something as a treat bring extra.)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
