Nature, cheese, chocolate, cultural as well as a wide variety of outdoor activities is what many people associate with the beautiful city of Zurich, Switzerland.
We will be exploring all of these things as we set off on an adventure to our the Top of Europe, with our starting point in Zurich.
This trip will include a guided city tour of Zurich, a visit to a chocolate factory, a traditional Swiss Fondue restaurant, a scenic train ride all the way to the highest train station in Europe - the Jungfraujoch, enjoy panoramic views for the mountain tops, go on a few moderate hikes and mingle with the locals.

Flights with Easy Jet:
Departure, May 16th: 07:10 - arrival 09:50 (LGW)
Return, May18th: 21:25 - arrival 22:05 (LGW)

Day 1: Arrival - Transfers (included) from Zurich Airport to the city centre
Accommodation: City Backpacker Hostel (in the city centre, near the train station) - shared dorm rooms (included)
Freetime to relax, explore the city, get a bite to eat, buy food/prepare lunch for next day's hike (alternatively, there is a restaurant on the mountain top, but keep in mind that the food may be quite pricey!)
15:30 - Zurich City Tour (guided) including a Sightseeing tour and a visit to the Lindt chocolate factory tour, 3 hr tour by coach (included)
19:30 - Dinner at a traditional Swiss Fondue restaurant - The restaurant "Le Dezaley" has the city's top rating in fondue and a wide variety of other dishes as well! (dinner not included)

Day 2: Today we have an eary start because we have a few hours train ride ahead of us before we reach the top of the Jungfraujoch!
6:00 - Breakfast (included as self-catering; I will have a breakfast prepared in the hostel kitchen)
07:02 (arrival at 11:22) - Early morning train departure to the Jungfraujoch (approx. 4 hrs) Train tickets are included in the package;
On the Top: Hike to the "Mönchsjochhütte" (1hr 30 minutes-> Self-Guided) - moderate level (don't forget sturdy hiking boots and warm outdoor clothing!)
15:30 - return train back to Zurich (arrival 19:58)
20:00 - Dinner - St. Gallenhof
Day 3: This is our last day together but we have another easy to moderate hike that a lot of locals like to do on their weekends. This gives us another chance to enjoy the beautiful surroundings!
Hiking trip to the Uetliberg (Guided, 3-4 hrs.) with a guide with a beautiful panoramic view, tour starts at 9am
14:00 - Lunch - self-catering/bring own snacks, sandwiches etc. for the hike

The final payments: have to be in my account two weeks before the trip the latest. Please put this date in your diary now as no reminders will be sent and if you have not paid by then you will be removed from the trip and your deposit will not be refunded. Please make sure you account for the paypal fees in your calculations (so the £3.70 on top of £100 deposit should not be deducted from the reminder of the payment)

Please note that in order to keep the costs low, the trips are set up in such a way that they can be fully managed online.
