Itinerary notes

On occasion local weather conditions may require the trekking/desert route to be altered to ensure your safety.

In February, temperatures in the desert daytime can reach 25-28° C. The temperature drops quickly after sunset because the air is so dry and the heat escapes rapidly at night. Differences of as much as 20-25° C between day and night occur regularly, and overnight it can reach 5° C (close to zero in some periods of the year). So please bring adequate cloths – light cloths during the day and warm ones during the evening/night.

Please, also be aware that this trip requires travelling for many miles (around 650 miles) going through cities, town, villages, oasis, mountains, hills, sand desert and rock desert.

Hi - why is it saying that I still owe £103.50 at the top of the meet up page as giving me a link to pay the remainder when I have paid in full?

    February 14, 2014

    • Danilo

Hi Penny I believe this is because you paid the full amount instead of first paying the deposit (£103.50) and then the rest. Kat will be able to confirm this. Thanks :-)

Hi - I just noticed that i had the same issue. i will send Kat my payment details to help confirm.

Hi guys… I hope you are having a nice weekend. Hey… in 5 days we will be in Morocco.. yuuuhooooo :-)
I have some news and updates. I have talked to the people at the hotel in Marrakech and they’ve told me that the weather at the moment is great…..sunny around 25°C during the day. Wonderful!!!! But please bring with you also some warm cloths as at night it can get chilly.

The hotel for the first night has changed as they had a problem with the bookings and they have found for us a place in an equally good hotel called Hotel du Tresor, apparently owned by an Italian designer. This hotel is next door to MonRiad where we will still have our dinner.

Regarding the Sahara desert trip, the guide told me that the sleeping bag is not absolutely needed as we will be provided with bed sheets and blankets but I will put it in my backpack…just in case!!!! If you have any questions please let me know ASAP.

    Ciaooooo

The address of the new hotel is: Hotel du Tresor, 77, Derb Sidi, Marrakesh, Morocco.

    message for WASIF
Also confirm how much you expect to be paid- £350 plus the flight ? Perdesi1

    February 5, 2014

    • Wasif H.

Hi Perdesi, you are welcome to arrange a flight yourself as this is an independent cost separate to the package as far as I am aware. I believe all other trip members have done the same

      February 6, 2014

    • Danilo

Yes, Wasif is right. Flights are not included in the package.

      February 6, 2014

  • Perdesi

    Hi Kat and Dani

few questions- I can understand direct swaps - are not allowed.
If I decide to come would I need to pay £390 or £350 ? What about the flight- would I need to talk directly to Wasif? He has booked it one day earlier , right? Do you think I would be able to get flight directly myself? I Pl let me know.me know Perdesi1

    February 5, 2014

    • Wasif H.

Hi Perdesi, I have paid no money to the group yet just booked the flight. Therefore, I believe the swapping process may not apply, but a new payment of £350, or £390 as relevant will be required. I am sure Kat or Dani can confirm this

      February 6, 2014

    • Danilo

Hi Perdesi I am afraid you would need to pay £390 as the early bird price has terminated couple weeks ago. In terms of flights you can purchase Wasif's tickets and enjoy Marrakech one day longer or check for new flights. I think the difference would be really marginal. Please before you do so check if you need a visa as one of the guys had to give up to the trip for this reason. (http://www.moroccanem...). I hope you would be able to join our group and exciting trip... :-)

Hi Guys...I hope you have spent a lovely Christmas despite the bad weather. I need to apologise about the confusion you might have felt about this trip and for being a bit behind with the schedule.

Moreover, we had a problem with my account as somehow it has been deleted so all my messages went lost. Currently we are checking the last details and trying to find the best places where to stay and create a nice trip in Morocco. Very soon all the details will be given and the trip published.

Thanks so much for your patience....

    Happy New Year!!!!!!! :-)
